In a small town located in Alabama, Sheila Dupree, wife of Mayor Jonathan Dupree, has discovered a miraculous wrinkle and cellulite reducer through the Bessie-Mae Skin Care and Cosmetics and has now become a consultant for the company. She has invited her old high school friends to her in home spa party to introduce them to the product. All was going well until Sheila goes upstairs to check on her husband and finds him dead on the floor inside his office.

THE SUSPECTS:
Rebecca Devereaux - Jonathan's head secretary, and one of Sheila's best friends from high school.  They lost touch with each other after Sheila married Jonathan.  Rebecca was one of those flirtatious and fun girls in high school.  Always checking her make-up, fluffing her hair, and still does to this day.  She is now married with three children.

Sheila Dupree - Born and raised in the South, Sheila was popular in high school, having been the captain of her cheerleading squad and started dating Jonathan who was the star quarter back.   None of her friends understood was she saw in him.   They married after high school.   Doubts of the marriage were reaffirmed when he became controlling of her and their income.   He only gave her allowances out of each paycheck and he never allowed her to have guests over.   She eventually talked him into it when she joined the Bessie-Mae Cosmetics company.   It was the perfect chance to earn more money, but also it was a chance to be reunited with her old high school friends, Pearl and Rebecca.

Pearl Allen - Originally from the North, she moved into town as a child when her father was transferred to the Air Force base outside of town.   Jonathan hated her instantly, teasing and tormenting her throughout the years.   He held back when he started dated Sheila, her best friend.   Pearl had opened a hair and nail salon which became very successful.   That is, until it mysteriously burnt down.

Lily Dupree - Half sister of Jonathan, she grew up with him but were never close.   Jonathan was very overbearing and controlled every aspect of her life.   She was a tomboy throughout high school, having played a lot of softball and flag football.   Jonathan pressured Lily into dating his best friend Jessie and she was soon engaged to marry him after graduation.   All of that ended when Lily met and fell in love with a northerner, Sam Marshall from Boston.   Jonathan was enraged!   He hated anyone who wasn't southern and he sought to stop the relationship.   Sam mysteriously left town.   She fell into a deep depression and became closed off from the outside world.   It wasn't until she met Jonathan's new wife, Sheila, that she began to come out of her shell.   Sheila took her under her wing and had a positive influence on her.

Billy-Ray Boltz - Jonathan's half brother from another father.   He arrived in town not long after Jonathan was elected Mayor.   He wanted a chance to get to know his older brother, but Jonathan wanted nothing to do with for fear of the small town folks spreading gossip.   He told him not to tell anyone of they're relation and tried to send him away.   But sweet Sheila took pity on him and convinced Jonathan to hire him as a pool boy and allowed him to live with them.
