Can you recommend a songbook for a beginning guitarist who is a good vocalist?
Can you recommend a songbook for a beginning guitarist who is a good vocalist? I’m 48, can play about 3 songs on guitar (I Told You So, Come Monday, Jacksonville), good baritone, like melodies, love songs. I don’t really like country music that much to listen to but I really like to sing it. Love James Taylor but not sure if I can play his music. I know how to strum cords but have not learned how to pick yet. Maybe you can recommend a teaching source for learning to pick as well. I heard Randy Travis do a simple guitar picking-the-chords version of I Told You So and I thought it sounded really nice. Thank you!
