Why are there no good guitar solos in new rock?

It’s only in metal songs, I have never heard a decent guitar solo in any modern indie song, alternative song, or any other type of contemporary rock song. Why?

Who else thinks that Rebellion (Lies) by arcade fire would sound great with an outro guitar solo?

cause the soo has been over played in the 80s

im a guitar player i find it much more fun to play rhythm cause it can be just as hard as a solo

but i like the occasional solo just to hear one

but if you ever listen to a band like august burns red they have solos sometimes but all of there riffs can really be a solo in any other song and thats what i like to do
